Privacy policy

How we handle the information you send us. Last updated 31 August 2026.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to Timber Fencing Sydney (ABN 76 612 245 594), operating timberfencing.net.au. The contact for privacy matters is Jye Fulton, fencingsydney@gmail.com, 0421 233 434.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to quote and carry out fencing work.

  • Contact details — your name, email address and phone number, so we can reply to your enquiry and arrange a site measure.
  • Project details — the property address or suburb, fence length, height, gate requirements, site conditions, timeframe and any notes you provide.
  • Photos and documents — images or plans you choose to upload with your enquiry.
  • Technical information — the page you enquired from, the referring page, any campaign parameters in the link you arrived on, your IP address at the time of submission, and the submission timestamp. This is used to answer your enquiry correctly and to prevent automated abuse of the form.

We do not collect payment card details on this website. There is no online checkout, and we never ask for card or bank details through the quote form.

Why we collect it

  • To prepare an estimate and a quote for your fencing project.
  • To contact you about that enquiry and arrange a free site measure.
  • To carry out and manage work you engage us for.
  • To keep a record of enquiries and quotes for our own business records.
  • To protect the website and the enquiry form from spam and abuse.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing.

How your enquiry is handled

When you submit the quote form, the details are saved on the server that hosts this website before any email is sent. This is deliberate: if email delivery fails, your enquiry is not lost. A notification is then emailed to fencingsydney@gmail.com, and a confirmation is emailed to the address you provided.

Stored enquiries, including uploaded photos, are held outside the publicly accessible part of the website and are reachable only through a password-protected administration area used by Jye Fulton.

Who else is involved

Running the website necessarily involves a small number of service providers, each of which only handles what is required for its function.

  • Web hosting — the provider that hosts timberfencing.net.au stores the website files and the enquiry records described above.
  • Content delivery and security — traffic to the site passes through a content delivery network, which processes connection information such as your IP address in order to serve pages and filter malicious traffic.
  • Email — enquiry notifications and confirmations are delivered by email, which means the message contents pass through mail servers in the normal way.
  • Analytics — where website analytics or advertising measurement is enabled, it is used to understand how pages are found and used. Any such measurement is configured through this site's tag settings, and no enquiry contents are sent to it.

We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not use cookies to track you across other websites. A cookie may be set for the administration area when Jye Fulton signs in to manage enquiries, and your browser may store small amounts of data locally to remember progress through the quote form so you do not lose your answers. If analytics or advertising tags are enabled, those services may set their own cookies; you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and quotes are kept while they are commercially useful — while a quote is live, while work is being carried out, and afterwards as a record of the job. Records are removed when they are no longer needed. If you would like your enquiry deleted sooner, ask and we will remove it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry data and uploads are stored outside the web root, uploads are validated by type and size, and the enquiry form is rate limited to prevent abuse. Access to stored enquiries requires authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps appropriate to the information involved.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email fencingsydney@gmail.com or call 0421 233 434. We will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy matter you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Children

This website is intended for property owners and businesses arranging fencing work. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date at the top.
