Fencing is all we do, and timber is what we specialise in

Timber Fencing Sydney is run by Jye Fulton, who holds NSW Fencing Licence 269038C. The work is boundary fencing, replacement fencing and matching timber gates for houses, commercial premises and industrial sites around Sydney.

Sydney throws up every kind of boundary. Sandstone shelf in the north, reactive clay out west, narrow terrace laneways in the inner suburbs, salt air on the coast and stepped blocks in the Hills. That changes how a fence is set out, how deep the footings go and how the material gets to the back of the property — which is why we measure before we quote rather than pricing off a rate card.

Everything we build is set out with timber posts or 65mm x 65mm steel posts. Each post is set 600mm deep into the ground and secured with at least one full 20kg bag of concrete per post.

Fence styles

Four timber fencing systems

Each one looks different, gives a different amount of privacy and suits a different kind of boundary. Compare them, then pick with our advice at the measure.

Timber fencing in Sydney — questions

Do you cover all of Sydney?

We supply and install timber fencing across Sydney. Most of our work sits in the western, north-western and Hills areas, with jobs elsewhere in the city as well. Call Jye Fulton on 0421 233 434 and he will tell you straight away whether your street is workable.

Are you licensed to build fences in NSW?

Yes. Timber Fencing Sydney holds NSW Fencing Licence 269038C and the ABN is 76 612 245 594. Sydney fencing contractors working on our jobs are licensed and insured.

What timber do you use for Sydney fences?

Treated pine for most fences, in single paling, lap & cap or lapped only. Hardwood single paling where a heavier, denser timber suits the property better. Both are explained on the fence types page so you can see the difference before you decide.

How high can a timber fence be built?

Timber fencing can be built up to 2.4m. Common heights are 1.5m, 1.8m, 2.1m, 2.4m. What is permitted at your boundary depends on your council, the zoning and whether the fence is a boundary or front fence, so confirm it before building high.

Can you remove the old fence first?

Existing fencing and brick walls can be removed and disposed of, and the removal is quoted with the new fence rather than added on afterwards.

How do I get a price for a Sydney timber fence?

Send the approximate length, the height you want, the number of gates and a few photos through the quote form. You will get an estimate back, then a free on-site measure before a firm quote.
